About Me

Thank you for poking around my website and finding this page.

I feel I should reward you with an exciting fact about me. Hmmmm.

Two cats? Snooze.

Place of residence? Kansas City Metro… oh, I’m losing you.

Awesome Husband? Who doesn’t have one of those? (Okay, tons of people… I know. I’m a lucky lady.)

Fine, fine. I was holding out.

Every once in a while, I pick my nose while stopped at a red light. Is that what you want to hear?? Are you not ENTERTAINED!?

Sorry about that. I guess no matter what I do, this area might be a bit of a snooze to me. That’s why I write fiction.

Let’s try a bullet point list. That always works at my day job when I have to convey a lot of information without getting the TLDR response:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Bachelor of Science in Theatre at Kansas State University
  • Credentialed Healthcare Actuary. Check out my LinkedIn for my alternate life.
  • Marty –> orange tabby cat, Jacob–> gray tabby cat. They were born in 2017. They are brothers.
  • Jay–> previously mentioned supportive/awesome husband
  • I read a crapton. Check out my Goodreads profile.
  • I’ve always wanted to write, but never made a serious attempt until 2019. Then over the next 2 years, I wrote The Standard Book of Anything.
  • Jay and I do summer bingo every year. We put a giant bingo board in our kitchen with all the things we want to do over the summer months. Things like “Get a Snow Cone” and “Zipline”. When we do the thing, we take a picture and cover the bingo square. We’re aiming for a blackout.
  • I once flew to South Africa to spend a week in Capetown with a friend. It was two back-to-back 13-hour flights to get there. But it was worth it.
  • I like to geocache. There’s something so satisfying about using math to find hidden containers all over the world.
  • I’ve taken up crocheting amigurumi. Contact me for pictures which I will happily share.
  • I’m a newbie to Instagram, but if I have any author events I will announce there and facebook:
    My Instagram
    My Facebook

That’s what I have for now. Most authors have FAQ. If I get enough Q to have FAQ, then I will update this page. Until then, enjoy my facts, internet.
